Donor FAQs

How do I become a Vitalis Milk donor?

Start by filling out our online screening form. If you meet our initial criteria, we’ll schedule a blood test and medical history interview. Once approved, you’ll receive storage guidelines and shipping instructions.

Donors must be in good health, not smoking, and free from infectious diseases among many other requirements. We require a basic medical history and negative blood work panel for a number of conditions including HIV, Hepatitis B & C, and syphilis.

Milk must be expressed into clean, sterilized containers and frozen immediately. We provide detailed instructions to ensure your milk remains safe and frozen during storage and shipping.

Yes, a minimum of 100 ounces is required over the course of your donation period to offset testing and handling costs.

Absolutely. You can pause or stop your donations at any point. There is no obligation beyond the milk you’ve already submitted.

Yes, modest financial compensation in line with current industry standards is offered for approved milk, in recognition of your time, effort, and contribution. Exact rates are discussed after screening.
